A variety of wood species including pine, acacia, oak, walnut, olive, cedar, camphor burl, and maple are common; however more exotic species like monkeypod, rosewood, and others may be used. High-quality epoxy resin and a variety of dyes, mica powder, and paint are used to create the art.
These boards with resin are Cold-food safe. Hot foods should not be placed on any of the resin covered areas.
As with most wood cutting boards, wash with mild detergent and water, pat dry. Oil with mineral oil or cutting board oil regularly: Once a month - or if used less frequently - every few months.
No. Although the resin used is UV resistant, it will still yellow in the sun over time. Keep your resin covered items in a cool, dry place to extend the life of the artwork!
